OxGord Pet Carriers, Bags & Strollers – Full Review
When you are looking for an effective way to carry your cat around, it can be quite difficult to find something that you consider to be totally suitable. Quite often you will find yourself looking around the shops or browsing online for hours trying to find something that you know will be totally suitable for you and your cat.
Fortunately, there is one such company that prides itself on being able to provide something that is suitable for everybody. OxGord have a wide range of cat carriers available and they are very happy about the reputation they have built for themselves over recent years. They are now considered to be one of the leading companies when it comes to cat carriers and it’s not difficult to see why. However, it is still important that you find one that will please both you and your cat. Here we will look at some of the more popular models that OxGord have on offer, while at the same time answering some of the questions you may have so then you will know which model is the best for you.
OxGord Pet Carrier Soft Sided Cat Travel Tote Bag
This cat carrier has been given a new design this year by OxGord and it is already proving to be a great success. This carrier allows you to conveniently carry your cat along on your arm so then you can take them from one place to another without any problems at all. They come with a removal bed inside as well so then your cat is able to comfy at all times when traveling. This carrier is available in a range of colors including black, green, red, pink, purple, blue, rose, and yellow.
The only downside to this carrier that has been noted by customers is that it is a little too easy for a cat to be able to force their way through the zips and escape. In actual fact, as long as the zips have been closed properly then there should never be a problem with your cat being able to escape. The zips are very safe and when they have been secured properly, your cat will not be able to escape regardless of how hard they try.
“Will this be big enough for my large adult cat?”
As long as you take into account the size of your cat and how much they will weigh carrying them around, then yes, your large adult cat should be fine. The only other thing to note is that when your cat is large, you will need to leave a little more zip room so then they are able to stick their heads out of the carrier without the risk of choking themselves in the process.
“How much room should I leave when I zip the carrier up?”
This really does depend on the size of your cat. When your cat is inside, try and leave enough room so then they are able to get their head through the gap comfortable without it being a choking hazard. At the same time, try and avoid giving them so much room that they have the opportunity to climb through the gap and make an escape attempt. It’s not difficult to find a happy medium, so just keep trying until you are able to create a comfortable gap.
OxGord Pet Carrier Rolling Backpack
If you do not feel completely comfortable carrying your cat on your arm, then you can always have them on your back instead. This backpack allows you to carry your cat on your back comfortably without any problems at all. This carrier also comes with side pockets, which means you will be able to store treats and other supplies for the long journey that you have ahead of you. This carrier is available in black, blue, pink, and red colours.
Some customers have complained that this particular cat carrier either too small or that it broke rather easily. In most cases however, the backpacks are able to stay strong and continue working effectively for a long time to come. The only way that it could break quickly is if it is being used frequently, in which case you will need to keep on top of cleaning and maintaining it to make sure no breaks occur or wear and tear becomes a problem.
“Can I strap the carrier in using the car seat belt?”
Yes, you can. In fact, the shape of the carrier makes it ideal for something like that. If your cat rather enjoys being in the carrier, or you like keeping them in there while they’re in the car simply to make things easier, then this carrier could well be the right one for you. Simply strap the carrier into the seat and your cat will be comfortable throughout the journey.
“How much room is there for the cat?”
Even though this bag has pockets that are designed for treats and other supplies, this carrier is still able to give cats plenty of room to breathe. Even if you have a large adult cat, they will still have enough room to get comfortable in the carrier and enjoy the space that they have. If you have smaller cats, there could even be room for more than one if they are comfortable enough to share the space in the carrier.
OxGord Comfort Carrier Soft-Sided Pet Carrier
If the other two models leave you with a few concerns about the amount of space your cat will have, then this carrier could be exactly what you are looking for. This carrier is designed completely with your cat’s comfort in mind. It has plenty of room inside and plenty of ventilation as well, so your cat will be able to get comfortable and enjoy the fresh air while they’re out and about as well. It also has a padded shoulder strap, which means you will be able to pull it over your shoulder and carry your cat around without any discomfort at all.
Some people have complained that the carrier was smaller than they thought, but these complaints are generally made by people who wanted to keep more than one cat inside. It is advised that unless your cats are quite small, only one should be in the carrier at a time. Then your cat will be able to enjoy all of the space that they have to spread out and get comfortable for their journey.
“Can I use this bag for when I go on a plane?”
Yes, this bag is probably ideal for anyone that is getting on a plane. Because it has so much space, it means that your cat will be able to spread out and rest for the entire journey, without worrying about your cat getting bored or restless. There is enough room for you to put some toys or some treats inside as well if you wanted to so then they are able to keep themselves amused when they are on a long journey.
“Is there a weight limit with this carrier?”
OxGord say that the weight limit with this carrier is 22 pounds. This means that even if you have quite a large cat, they should still be able to fit inside and be held securely without any problems. It also means that even if your cat is quite large, you will be able to carry them in comfort thanks to the padded shoulder strap.
OxGord Pet Stroller Cat Easy Walk Folding Travel Carrier Carriage
If you are looking for something that’s a little different from what we have looked at thus far, then OxGord could still have something that will interest you. This stroller is ideal for anyone that just wants to be able to take their cat out for a quick walk around the park or just for a quick stroll to the shops. This carrier gives cats plenty of room to breathe and enjoy the outdoor scenery around them. This carrier is available with either three wheels or four, and is available in blue, black, purple, red, rose, and blue plaid.
Some customers who have bought this carrier have said that their cats have been able to escape from it, mainly because it has zips on both sides so they are able to figure a way out. As long as the zips are closed properly, then your cat should not be able to escape. The only thing you will have to do is remind yourself that there are zips on both sides, so make sure they are both closed properly before you leave the house, or at least not open enough for your cat to escape.
“How much weight is the stroller able to handle?”
For a cat carrier, this stroller is actually able to hold quite a bit of weight. This is designed to hold up to 30 pounds maximum, which means that even if you have quite a large cat, this stroller will be able to handle the weight. Not only that, but it also means that if you have two cats that quite like each others company, then you could even have two smaller cats in at the same time. Only do this though if you are confident that their combined weight will not exceed 30 pounds.
“Are the handle bars adjustable?”
Unfortunately, on these models the handle bars are not adjustable. Having said that, OxGord are releasing a new updated version of this model soon, so there is every chance that a future model could well have adjustable handle bars to make it easier for people to choose a position they like for when they are walking around.
If there is one thing that OxGord pride themselves on it is quality. When you look at these cat carriers you can see why. They are all made of strong material and are designed to last and support the weight of even the largest cat. If you are looking for somewhere where you can find a cat carrier that you know will be able to support you and your cat when you need it, then OxGord could well be the ideal place for your cat carrier needs.
